Our Care and Education Members

I work with other members of the diabetes education center to manage patients with Type 1, Type 2 or gestational diabetes. I have a special interest in diabetes and its complications.

My main interest is in Cystic Fibrosis-Related Diabetes (CFRD).

I work in the Diabetes Clinic in the Diabetes Education Centre at St Michael's Hospital, which has a strong focus on insulin pump therapy. Along with eight endocrinologists, there are nurses, dietitians, a chiropodist and a pharmacist.

Diabetes self-management practices, the participation and delivery of diabetes self-management education, and the use, coordination and integration of diabetes management resources and services across the health care system

The Centre for Complex Diabetes Care provides intensive short term care to patients with complex diabetes needs including mental health, barriers to care and complexities requiring case management. Collaborative, case managed care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including Endocrinologists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers, a Pharmacist, and a Chiropodist.
