Diabetes Related Research Activities:

The major focus of my lab is to understand the mechanisms of death and differentiation in immature and mature T cells. In particular, an emphasis is placed on understanding the molecular events that direct T cell fate towards either tolerance or activation. These questions are investigated in the context of understanding autoimmunity (diabetes) and tumor immune surveillance in vivo.
