AstraZeneca Impact Challenge Grant - Cardiovascular/Diabetes 2017
The Heart & Stroke/Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence in Cardiovascular Research (HSRLCE) and the Banting & Best Diabetes Centre (BBDC) in conjunction with the Vice-Dean, Research and Innovation, Faculty of Medicine, are pleased to announce the 2017 AstraZeneca Impact Challenge Grant in Cardiovascular/Diabetes Researchcompetition. One non-renewable award will be provided up to $250,000 ($125,000 annually for two years, to be spent over a maximum of three years). Funding for this competition will begin July 1, 2017.
The purpose of the AstraZeneca Impact Challenge Grant is to:
Foster bench to bedside translational research with a focus on innovation and first-in man clinical trials;
Foster the training of graduate students across disciplines and research institutes;
Establish the University of Toronto as an international leader in the study of diabetes and heart disease; and
Encourage collaboration between the BBDC and the HSRLCE.
Applications must be received by 4 pm, March 31, 2017.
